Drums

Weeks after weeks, I had waited for Joshua for a drum lesson. Yesterday morning, he call me, " Yoyoyo, Nelson. Tomorrow are you free? We can hang-out and we will go and do drum shopping." I was like, "DRUM SHOPPING?" I never heard anyone said that before, it's like we are going to buy drum set tomorrow.

So this morning, I was so afraid that I might over slept, I woke up every 10 minutes after 9:30a.m. I was too excited yet sleepy. Finally Josh came and we are off for the "drum shopping" as he said. Then we came to this music store, which, he had told me about it. It was supposed to be a drum shop, only for drums. But the ex-owner sold it away and now it's a music store. Josh used to learn his drumming in this store. It's called, The Drum Shop back then, but it's now called Billy's Hyde Music.

The ground floor is very big. It's like about the size of St. Patrick's Church, not HOP O.K.? About that size and is packed of drum kits. They have a lot of kinds of drums. I was totally stunned+crazed. They have about 10 drums set in there, exclude electric drums! It was almost Heaven. For all these awhile haven't been playing the drum, I guessed it's all worth it for coming to this place!! I'll let the picture do the talking instead.
Josh used to have this electric drum.
If only I have these~
DW drumkit, Josh said they made the best drum.
The DW Bassdrum, the other one is the sub-bass. Cool~
Josh Playing the electric durm.
Drum Skins
A lot of Percussion!!

A cymbal I never see before, I wonder how it works and DW's Percussion
Snare drums!
See that guy over there? He taught me a lil bit of handling the drumsticks

I spent most of the time in the drumsticks section. So many drum sticks oh! Then we went upstairs, where the guitars and piano and keyboards and other non-drumkits stuff are. I love their acoustic guitar room, very "acoustic" like. There~
Cool huh?
So long haven't touch a piano!
Some.. some.. pipes?

After "drum shopping," which I only bought a pair of drum stick and Josh bought a drumskin, we went to his house and he gave me some lessons! Weee~ When he start teaching, he became very serious. He talked more than showing me what to do. He is like trying to brainwash my mind and teach drum in a different kind of way. Different as in different from what St. Patrick had taught me. He went very detail about very thing. He only teach me how to handle my drum stick well-.- which is the basic of all! It's great that someone can spares his weekends and teach me drum thoroughly. It's like a dream come true. Oh ya, when he was teaching me, there was no drums, just drums pads. It was a great day! Finally had done my part to blog! It's DotA time!!                     And Happy Easter=)

P.S. *again* Eunice, you should have come =P
